Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Refund Policy
Last Updated: 01 August 2024
This Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Refund Policy applies to all workshops, training programs, masterclasses, seminars, competitions, conferences, and other events offered by World Technocon through its websites, registration portals, payment links, or authorised representatives.
Please read this policy carefully before registering or making payment. By completing a registration or payment, the participant and/or the person making the payment confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted this policy.
1. Strict No-Refund Policy
All registration fees, participation fees, convenience charges, taxes, and other amounts paid to World Technocon are final and non-refundable.
Once a valid payment has been successfully processed, no cash refund, bank refund, payment reversal, or repayment will be provided at the participant’s request.
No refund will be provided for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Inability or failure to attend the program;
- Personal, academic, professional, medical, family, or travel-related reasons;
- Illness, accident, emergency, examination, interview, or scheduling conflict;
- Traffic, delay, missed transport, accommodation issues, or other travel difficulties;
- Failure to obtain permission from a parent, guardian, employer, school, college, university, or any other authority;
- Failure to receive, read, or act upon an email, SMS, WhatsApp message, telephone call, notification, joining instruction, or schedule update;
- Internet, device, software, electricity, audio, video, or connectivity problems experienced by the participant;
- Dissatisfaction with the trainer, teaching style, pace, duration, format, venue, facilities, participant composition, or overall experience;
- Any perceived difference between the participant’s expectations and the actual program;
- Any perceived mismatch concerning the program content, depth, difficulty, examples, activities, projects, tools, software, or learning outcomes;
- The participant already being familiar with some or all of the program content;
- Failure to understand the eligibility criteria, prerequisites, program description, event format, or learning objectives before registration;
- A change in personal plans or a decision that the program is no longer suitable, convenient, or useful;
- Denial of leave, travel permission, institutional permission, or parental consent;
- Failure to reach the venue or join the online session within the specified time; or
- Any other reason attributable to the participant or outside the reasonable control of World Technocon.
Participants must register only after carefully reviewing the program description, schedule, delivery mode, venue, eligibility requirements, prerequisites, and other published information.
2. Program Content and Participant Expectations
Program descriptions, agendas, learning outcomes, schedules, illustrations, promotional materials, trainer profiles, tools, projects, examples, software platforms, and activities are indicative and may be modified according to academic requirements, audience level, trainer availability, operational considerations, time limitations, or other circumstances.
World Technocon does not guarantee that:
- Every topic, tool, activity, project, or example mentioned in promotional material will receive equal time or detailed coverage;
- The program will match the personal expectations, existing knowledge, career objectives, or preferred learning style of every participant;
- Participation will result in employment, admission, income, business success, professional qualification, mastery of a subject, or certification by a third party;
- A particular trainer, speaker, mentor, tool, software platform, syllabus sequence, classroom, institutional facility, or activity will remain unchanged; or
- Every promotional illustration, photograph, video, or visual representation will exactly represent the final classroom, venue, activity, trainer, or mode of delivery.
Dissatisfaction or disagreement concerning the content, depth, difficulty, usefulness, teaching method, trainer, promotional interpretation, or participant expectations will not constitute grounds for a refund.
3. Accuracy of Program Information
World Technocon makes reasonable efforts to ensure that program descriptions and other material information are accurate at the time of publication.
Reasonable variations in the agenda, content, trainer, tools, schedule, venue, delivery method, examples, projects, or activities arising from academic, operational, logistical, or security requirements will not constitute grounds for a refund.
Any matter involving a mandatory legal obligation will be addressed in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits any right that cannot legally be excluded or waived.
4. Non-Transferable and Non-Extendable Registration
Unless expressly approved in writing by World Technocon:
- A registration cannot be transferred to another person;
- A registration cannot be shifted to another event, workshop, batch, date, venue, or location at the participant’s request;
- A registration cannot be extended, carried forward, or placed on hold;
- The participant’s identity or registered email address cannot be substituted after registration; and
- Failure to attend will be treated as a “no-show” without entitlement to a refund, credit, coupon, transfer, replacement session, or extension.
Any exceptional adjustment, transfer, or accommodation offered by World Technocon will be discretionary and will not create a right or precedent for any other participant.
5. Changes to the Program
World Technocon may change or modify any aspect of a program when reasonably necessary, including its:
- Date or reporting time;
- Schedule or duration;
- Venue, classroom, building, or location;
- Trainer, speaker, mentor, or supporting team;
- Agenda, content, activity, project, tool, or session sequence;
- Delivery method or technical platform;
- Hosting institution, venue partner, student body, or associated organisation; or
- Mode of delivery from offline to online, online to offline, or hybrid.
Such changes will not automatically be treated as cancellation and will not create an entitlement to a cash or original-payment-method refund.
If a program is rescheduled, the participant’s registration will ordinarily be carried forward to the revised date or delivery format communicated by World Technocon.
6. Institutional Association and Venue Disclaimer
A program may be organised at the premises of, hosted by, supported by, or conducted in association with a college, university, student organisation, club, society, venue partner, or another institution.
The use of a venue or collaboration with any such organisation does not imply that the program is academically certified, sponsored, endorsed, or directly conducted by that institution unless expressly stated in writing.
A hosting institution or partner may withdraw its venue, permission, support, or association due to its own academic, administrative, operational, logistical, security, or other requirements.
Withdrawal or modification of such venue, permission, support, or association will not itself create an entitlement to a refund, provided that a rescheduled program, substantially equivalent alternative, or refund coupon is made available in accordance with this policy.
7. Cancellation by World Technocon or a Hosting Partner
A program may be cancelled, postponed, interrupted, relocated, or prevented from taking place due to a decision or action of:
- World Technocon;
- A hosting institution or venue partner;
- A college, university, student body, club, society, or organising committee;
- A trainer, service provider, venue owner, or technology provider;
- A governmental, regulatory, administrative, security, or law-enforcement authority; or
- Any other party or circumstance affecting the organisation or delivery of the program.
In such circumstances, World Technocon may first provide:
- A rescheduled session; or
- A substantially equivalent alternative through live online sessions, recorded sessions, hybrid delivery, replacement workshops, learning materials, or a combination of these methods.
If providing a rescheduled or substantially equivalent alternative is not reasonably feasible, World Technocon may issue a refund coupon for use toward an eligible future World Technocon program.
Participants will not be entitled to demand a cash, bank, card, UPI, wallet, or original-payment-method refund merely because the original program, venue, hosting institution, trainer, schedule, date, or delivery format has changed or been cancelled.
If a rescheduled or alternative program is offered and the participant chooses not to attend, access, or complete it, no refund coupon, cash refund, transfer, or additional replacement will be provided.
Where applicable law mandatorily requires a monetary refund, the remedy required under such law will apply.
8. Alternative Delivery
An alternative may be delivered through:
- A live online session;
- One or more rescheduled online sessions;
- Recorded sessions or digital learning content;
- A hybrid learning arrangement;
- A replacement workshop;
- Learning materials, assignments, or digital resources; or
- A combination of these delivery methods.
The alternative may be conducted on different dates, divided into multiple sessions, or delivered through a different platform.
Where an alternative is provided:
- The participant’s existing registration will automatically apply to the alternative;
- Joining or access information will be sent using the contact details provided during registration;
- The participant must arrange a compatible device, software, internet connection, electricity supply, and suitable learning environment;
- Failure or refusal to attend or access the alternative will not create entitlement to a refund, coupon, transfer, or further replacement;
- Personal preference for offline delivery will not constitute grounds for a refund; and
- Provision of the alternative will be treated as fulfilment of World Technocon’s obligation concerning the affected registration.
9. Refund Coupon
Where World Technocon issues a refund coupon:
- The coupon will not constitute a cash, bank, card, UPI, wallet, or original-payment-method refund;
- Its value will ordinarily be equal to the eligible registration fee actually paid and received by World Technocon for the affected registration;
- Payment-gateway fees, convenience charges, administrative charges, and other separately disclosed non-refundable charges may be excluded where permitted by law;
- The coupon will be linked to the registered participant and/or registered email address;
- It cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged, gifted, or redeemed for cash;
- It may be used only for eligible future World Technocon programs;
- It will ordinarily remain valid for three years from its date of issuance unless a longer period is expressly communicated;
- It must be used in accordance with the instructions and eligibility conditions communicated with the coupon;
- Any applicable tax, price difference, convenience charge, or additional amount for the selected future program must be paid separately;
- It cannot be combined with another coupon or promotional offer unless expressly permitted;
- Once redeemed, the coupon will be treated as used and cannot be restored, exchanged, transferred, or refunded; and
- A lost, shared, misused, expired, or unauthorisedly transferred coupon may not be replaced.
If the fee for the selected program exceeds the coupon value, the participant must pay the balance amount. If the selected program costs less than the coupon value, the treatment of any unused value will be governed by the coupon conditions displayed before redemption.
Issuance of a refund coupon will settle World Technocon’s contractual obligation concerning the affected registration, subject to applicable law.
10. Partially Delivered Programs
Where a program consists of multiple sessions, modules, activities, or days, delivery of any substantial part of the program will be treated as partial performance.
If the remaining portion is interrupted, postponed, or cancelled, World Technocon may provide the remaining content through online sessions, recorded content, replacement sessions, hybrid delivery, learning resources, or another reasonable format.
Partial delivery, modification of the remaining content, change in delivery format, or a participant’s failure to attend or access the remaining sessions will not create an entitlement to a cash refund.
11. Certificates and Attendance
Registration, payment, or partial attendance does not automatically guarantee issuance of a certificate.
Certificate eligibility may be subject to:
- Required attendance;
- Timely reporting or online participation;
- Completion of assignments, activities, or assessments;
- Identity verification;
- Compliance with conduct and participation requirements; and
- Any other eligibility conditions communicated for the program.
Accessing or watching recorded content will count toward attendance only where World Technocon expressly permits it and the participant completes any required viewing, identity verification, assessment, assignment, or participation requirement.
Merely receiving access to recorded content does not automatically establish attendance or eligibility for a certificate.
Failure to satisfy certificate or attendance requirements will not create an entitlement to a refund, coupon, transfer, replacement session, or certificate.
World Technocon may withhold, cancel, or correct a certificate where registration information is inaccurate, participation requirements have not been met, misconduct has occurred, or the certificate has been obtained or used improperly.
12. Force Majeure
World Technocon will not be responsible for delay, interruption, relocation, modification, or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, fires, or severe weather;
- Epidemics, pandemics, or public-health restrictions;
- Government orders, regulatory action, court orders, or changes in law;
- Security threats, civil disturbance, strikes, protests, or political conditions;
- Transport disruption, venue closure, institutional restrictions, or withdrawal of permission;
- Failure of electricity, internet, servers, software, equipment, or communication systems;
- Illness or unavoidable unavailability of trainers or essential personnel; or
- Any comparable circumstance that makes the original delivery impractical, unsafe, unlawful, or impossible.
In such cases, World Technocon may reschedule, relocate, modify, or provide an alternative delivery of the program. If no reasonable alternative is feasible, World Technocon may issue a refund coupon in accordance with this policy.
No cash or original-payment-method refund will be payable except where mandatorily required by applicable law.
13. Travel, Accommodation and Other Expenses
World Technocon will not be responsible for reimbursing expenses incurred by a participant in connection with a program, including:
- Airfare, railway, bus, taxi, or local transportation;
- Hotel, hostel, accommodation, or food expenses;
- Visa, permit, documentation, or travel-insurance charges;
- Loss of wages, business, opportunity, or academic time;
- Device, software, internet, or equipment expenses; or
- Any other direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential expense.
Participants should make cancellable travel and accommodation arrangements wherever possible.
Cancellation, postponement, relocation, rescheduling, change of institution, or conversion to an alternative delivery method will not make World Technocon responsible for these expenses.
14. Denial of Entry or Removal
No refund, transfer, extension, replacement, or coupon will be provided where a participant is denied entry or removed because of:
- Failure to produce the required registration confirmation or valid identification;
- Late arrival or failure to comply with reporting instructions;
- Misconduct, harassment, disruption, abusive behaviour, or safety concerns;
- Violation of venue, campus, institutional, or program rules;
- Providing incorrect, incomplete, misleading, or fraudulent information;
- Unauthorised sharing or resale of a registration, pass, certificate, coupon, or joining link;
- Recording, copying, distributing, or commercially exploiting program content without permission; or
- Non-compliance with instructions issued by World Technocon, trainers, security personnel, venue representatives, or the hosting institution.
15. Communication Responsibility
Official updates may be communicated through email, SMS, WhatsApp, telephone, the participant dashboard, the event page, or the World Technocon website.
Participants are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and active contact information;
- Regularly checking their inbox, spam folder, messages, and participant account;
- Keeping their registered contact information updated;
- Reviewing event instructions before travelling to the venue or joining online; and
- Contacting World Technocon if program information has not been received within a reasonable time.
Failure to receive or review a communication due to incorrect information, filtering, blocked messages, inactive accounts, network issues, or delayed checking will not create an entitlement to a refund.
16. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments
A verified duplicate payment or an amount collected due to a confirmed payment-processing error may be reviewed separately.
After verification, any reversal required by law or approved by World Technocon will ordinarily be processed through the original payment method.
This limited provision does not apply to a valid registration payment where the participant later changes their mind, does not attend, experiences an expectation mismatch, or is otherwise unable or unwilling to participate.
17. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Participants should contact World Technocon and provide a reasonable opportunity to investigate any genuine payment or registration issue before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
Initiating a chargeback for a validly authorised registration merely because the participant did not attend, changed their mind, experienced an expectation mismatch, refused an alternative program, or disagreed with an accepted policy may result in suspension of the registration, certificate, coupon, or associated services, subject to applicable law and payment-network rules.
18. Limitation of Responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, World Technocon’s responsibility concerning an affected registration will be limited to providing the original program, a rescheduled program, a substantially equivalent alternative, or a refund coupon in accordance with this policy.
World Technocon will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, reputational, academic, professional, or economic losses arising from participation, non-participation, rescheduling, relocation, modification, or cancellation of a program.
19. Policy Acceptance and Applicable Version
The version of this policy displayed or linked during registration and payment will apply to that registration.
By registering or making payment, the participant and/or payer confirms acceptance of:
- This Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Refund Policy;
- The applicable program description and event-specific conditions;
- World Technocon’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; and
- Instructions and eligibility requirements communicated for the program.
Electronic acceptance records, including the policy version, date, time, registration details, payment reference, and relevant technical records, may be maintained as evidence of acceptance.
20. Statutory Rights and Severability
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or override any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.
If any provision of this policy is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue to remain effective.
21. Contact Information
Questions regarding this policy may be submitted through the official contact information at contact us page.
Participants should provide their registration number, registered email address, program name, and payment reference while contacting support.
By completing a registration or payment for a World Technocon program, the participant and/or payer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Refund Policy.
